Alamein FC: VYPLG First Aid Officer
Melbourne • Women’s Football • 2026 SeasonPosition Purpose
The First Aid Officer is responsible for supporting the health and safety of players, coaches and volunteers by providing basic first aid at VYPLG (junior) matches, and ensuring appropriate procedures are followed in the event of injury or illness.
This position is ideal for a physiotherapy student looking for experience in elite sport to accompany their studies. For a successful candidate, there is scope for the role to grow in the following years.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first aid assistance during VYPLG matches as required.
Assess injuries and determine appropriate immediate care or referral (e.g. ambulance, parent/guardian, Head of Medical).
Maintain and monitor first aid kits and supplies for VYPLG teams.
Record injuries and incidents using the club’s injury reporting system.
Communicate with coaches, team managers and parents/guardians regarding player injuries when appropriate.
Assist with implementing the club’s health and safety procedures.
Support safe return-to-play decisions where appropriate.
Key Requirements
Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 or equivalent)
Current CPR certification
Working With Children Check
Availability for: Saturdays (away games) and Sundays (home games) for approx. 6 hours each weekend
Support Provided by the Club
Access to first aid equipment and supplies
Mentorship from Head of Medical
Relevant club policies and procedures

Alamein FC: Match Day & Fan Engagement Intern (Unpaid)
Melbourne • Women’s Football • 2026 SeasonAlamein FC is seeking a creative, energetic and community-minded Match Day & Fan Engagement Intern to help transform the atmosphere at our Senior NPLW home games.
We are Victoria’s only all-female football club with a complete elite and Academy pathway. Our Senior Women compete in the NPLW Victoria — the highest level of women’s football in the state. We want someone who cares deeply about women’s sport and wants to help elevate it.
This internship is perfect for someone excited by sports events, fan experience, marketing, community engagement, or club operations, and who wants to lead real projects with real impact.
What you’ll do
Lead your own fan engagement or match-day experience project
Plan and deliver match-day activations (posters, rituals, junior involvement, music, etc.)
Help grow our supporter base inside the club and in the local community
Assist with promotions, awareness and atmosphere-building activities
Attend one training session per week (Mon/Wed/Fri) and most home games
Create a warm, fun and energetic home-ground environment for players and fans

Event or marketing experience is a bonus but not required.
A Working With Children Check (volunteer) is required, and mandatory Child Safeguarding training will be completed in Week 1.

Preseason: Approx. 4–8 hours/week
Season: Approx. 6–12 hours/week

Alamein FC: Content Creator & Social Media Intern (Unpaid)
Melbourne • Women’s Football • 2026 Season
Alamein FC is seeking one or more creative, driven, football-loving Content Creator Interns to join us for the 2026 NPLW season.
We are the only all-female football club in Victoria with a complete elite and Academy pathways from juniors (VYPLG) through to Senior NPLW. Our Senior Women compete in the NPLW Victoria, the top tier of women’s football in the state. As an intern, you’ll help capture the energy, personality and passion of our players across all age groups.
This is the perfect opportunity for a passionate storyteller who believes in growing and championing women’s sport.
What you’ll do
Film match-day highlights, training sessions, player interviews, and fun behind-the-scenes content
Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels & YouTube Shorts
Help run social trends, challenges, and player features
Lead your own recurring content series (with your name credited)
Attend games across Melbourne and training at Dorothy Laver Reserve in Glen Iris
What you’ll get

The ideal candidate
We’re looking for someone who is:
Passionate about promoting and supporting women’s sport
Hard-working, reliable and self-motivated
Creative, energetic and comfortable directing players
Skilled with filming/editing on phone or camera
Willing to attend at least one training night per week (Mon/Wed/Fri)
Able to cover 2–3 games per weekend once the season starts
Open to learning, experimenting and trying new formats
Ready to bring fun, personality and authenticity to our content
Experience in filmmaking, media, photography, design, or social media is a bonus, but not required.
You must have (or be willing to get) a Working With Children Check (volunteer), and will be required to undertake mandatory Child Safeguarding training in your first week.
Time commitment
Preseason: ~6–12 hours/week
Season: ~10–15 hours/week

The Alamein FC Internship Program
Our internship program is designed to give emerging creatives and sport-minded students real ownership, real access and real development inside a high-performance women’s football environment. Created to support the next generation of content creators and sport professionals, the program offers structured learning, meaningful responsibilities and practical experience rarely available outside A-League clubs.
We are a welcoming, inclusive community, and every internship is delivered within our Child Safeguarding framework to ensure a safe, respectful and positive learning experience.
What our internships offer
Substantive, hands-on experience in content creation, social media, match-day delivery and fan engagement
Ownership of a recurring project or series, credited to the intern and included in their professional portfolio
Behind-the-scenes access to training sessions, match-day zones, players, coaches and selected club operations
Structured mentorship and feedback, including regular creative or performance review sessions
Portfolio-building support, including mid-season check-ins, end-of-season portfolio curation and a formal reference letter
Public recognition, such as your name listed on the club website and credit on major projects you lead
Flexible hours arranged around university, TAFE or work schedules, with consideration for exams and busy periods
A values-driven culture, grounded in unity, integrity, passion and respect
Interns are never assigned menial tasks or used as general volunteers. You won’t be asked to do the coffee run! Every project contributes directly to the club’s digital identity, match-day atmosphere or storytelling.
All internships are unpaid and voluntary, designed as structured learning experiences rather than employment.

University or TAFE students studying media, communications, journalism, design, film, sport management or related fields
Early-career creatives building a portfolio in video, storytelling, fan engagement or digital content
People who are passionate about women’s sport and want meaningful, inside-club experience
Reliable, self-motivated individuals comfortable working evenings and weekends during the season
All interns must hold (or be willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check (volunteer) and complete mandatory Child Safeguarding training during onboarding.
