Our Coaching Staff
Liam Kafka-Sweeney
Senior Head Coach

Having spent last season in the Senior Assistant role, Liam brings continuity and a strong understanding of the Alamein FC culture as we look to maintain the forward momentum of our Seniors program.
Liam has completed his university studies in Sport Science and Coaching, and is currently completing his FA B Diploma. His background includes positions in Football Victoria’s SAP and TIDC programs.


Declan Ensor
Under 20s Head Coach

For the last 7 years, Declan has been immersed in the process of nurturing talent across diverse organisations. Most recently, Declan was coaching at Ashburton United in their NPL Boys Program. His appointment brings a wealth of knowledge to Alamein, which Declan acquired from many years of playing under and coaching alongside a number of experienced coaches, including Michael McBride, Marcelo Koslowsky and Joe Montemurro.

Shivraj Pawa
Under 17s Head Coach

With a range of international qualifications and experience including coaching at a football academy in Asia, Shivraj holds an AFC C-Licence and has coached at the Junior NPL level for 3 years. Shivraj brings a background in Exercise and Sport Science, and valuable skills in leading girls football programs.

Angelina Sango Hoang
Under 13s Head Coach

Angelina arrives at our Club with extensive experience in junior football programs, having coached at Brimbank Stallions, Malvern City FC and more recently at the Melbourne Victory Academy. With a wealth of knowledge and unique perspective on football coaching, we are delighted to have Angelina join the Alamein FC community.

Ruby Walsh
Under 12s Head Coach

 Ruby arrives at Alamein FC with a youth football career played in high performance environments, having spent the majority of her time in the Western Australian NTC program. Ruby competed in 4 National Youth Championships as part of the WA state team and played in WA’s WNPL competition for 3 years before moving to Melbourne last year to study.

Dominic Hardcastle
Goalkeeper Coach
Alamein FC is very pleased to welcome Dominic Hardcastle as our specialist Goalkeeper Coach for Season 2024.
Dominic arrives at Alamein FC having been involved in the development of young promising goalkeepers, notably through his involvement with Yarra Valley Grammar’s football program. As player, Dominic has risen through the ranks at Manningham United, most recently being part of their 2023 promotion winning side into Senior Men’s NPL1.
"Dominic is an exciting addition to our coaching team. It’s the first time we’ve had a dedicated whole-club goalkeeper coach, and you can see the benefits from the great work he’s been doing with our goalkeepers already,” said Alamein FC Technical Director Liam Kafka-Sweeney.
Samreen Kaur
High Performance Manager

Alamein FC is very pleased to announce Samreen Kaur as our High Performance Manager for Season 2024.
Samreen arrives at Alamein FC with a background that includes a Bachelor of Exercise Sport Science and a Bachelor of Nutrition from Deakin University, as well as experience at Melbourne Victory’s Academy.
“Sam has been immense for us since joining the Club a few months back. She’s taken the high performance program under her direction, and is adding to it bit by bit. We’re thrilled to have Sam on board and cannot wait to see her contribute more to our Club in the future!”, said Alamein FC Technical Director Liam Kafka-Sweeney.
