US Import Allie Rossi signs with Alamein FC

Alamein FC is pleased to announce that it has signed the first of its visa players for 2018. Allie Rossi is a tenacious defender and goal denier. Over her 4 year collegiate soccer career at the University of South Florida (USF) and the University of Miami, Alexis "Allie" Rossi has anchored an impenetrable defense. In 2015, she was named American Athletic Conference (AAC) All-Conference 2nd team. She directed a USF defense that led the ACC in fewest goals allowed (15, 0.68 Ave/Game), fewest shots per game (9.6), and shutouts (12, 0.55 Ave/Game) while logging over 2000 minutes of playing time in 2014 and 2015.

Player profile - Mari Pastor

MEET MARI PASTOR
mari pastorMari has played soccer since she was 5 years old. Her father, George Paster, played professionally in the United States, and she has always aspired to do the same. She grew up playing in a local club called the ACC Mavericks in the United States – a similar club to Ashburton United!
While small for her age, she spent most of her youth developing her skills and her love for the game. By the time she grew to match other players physically, she had the drive and technique to compete with any player in her age level. After spending eight years playing soccer with the Mavericks, Mari was recruited at age 17 to play Division 1 Collegiate soccer for the University of California, Davis. After  four years of playing at Davis, she is still eager to develop both on and off the field and has since been following her dreams to play professionally and coach at the next level.
After graduating in June, Mari played in England. Over her playing career, she has coached both boys and girls at all youth levels in America, England and now Australia!
She designs her practices to challenge her players while also, and more importantly, making them fun! Mari is very excited about the opportunity to coach for Ashburton United this season while playing for Alamein FC senior team in the PS4 NPLW Victoria competition.
You can see Mari and the rest of the squads at H.A. Smith reserve this Sunday.
