The Board of Alamein FC is very excited to share that our home ground Dorothy Laver West Reserve, will be receiving a significant $1m Sportsground Improvement allocation from the City of Boroondara for the current 2023/24 financial year. The budgeted expenditure will focus on reconstructing the playing surface and improving the drainage on our two pitches, as part of the Council’s ‘Preserve and increase green spaces’ strategic initiative. “There have been many discussions in the lead up to this outcome, and it’s very exciting to have received budget sign-off. We thank and look forward to collaborating with the Boroondara Council. 2024 promises to be a massive year for our all-women's football club as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary, look to grow our Club with an expanded Juniors program, and now a first-rate playing surface for all our teams and visiting clubs to enjoy”, said Alamein FC President Kathy Stamatopoulos.
