Welcome Dennis Georgakopoulos

dennis georgakopoulosDennis has a passion for developing, supporting and challenging players and teams to reach their highest potential to be the best they can be. Dennis has strong focus and is an ambassador on enabling pathways for dedicated and talented female footballers to progress and reach their potential.

He is focused on learning, development and achievement,through encouraging,challenging,supporting and motivating players and the teams bringing the best out of female footballers.

Dennis has been coaching for 12 years across NPLW teams, he has also been fortunate to work alongside senior coaches as a assistant for 3 years.

Dennis was Technical Director at Box Hill for two years in its inaugural season of the NPLW. He has strong experience in football with a passion for participation in sport for all with a focus on soccer.

He prides himself on developing and instilling lifelong skills and encouraging and supporting players through sport and team development.

Dennis currently holds an FFA Senior C License and is in the process of undertaking his B license.

Welcome Hannah Ambor - U12 Co - Coach 2020

We are proud to announce Hannah Ambor as our U12 Co - Coach for the 2020 NPLW season.

Hannah commenced playing soccer at 11 at a local club where she found her passion for goalkeeping. At just the young age of 14 she played U18s between the sticks for the Casey Comets followed by a short stint at Alamein in its inaugural year where she had to pull out due to health reasons.

Hannah has previous coached U11 and U14 Girls at Casey followed by a State 3 South Melbourne women’s team in 2018.

In 2019, Hannah also took up the role of Head of Women’s football at Dandenong Thunder FC.

Currently Hannah is working at Soccer5’s Dandendong and also runs the multicultural girls program at Dandenong High. In correlation with Soccer5s and CMY she was the Open Seconds Girls coach at Peninsula Grammar school.

Hannah is a devoted coach who also runs the Cranbourne Soccer Mums program.

 

Introducing Kat Smith - Senior Coach

Alamein FC would like to today announce the signing of our Senior Head Coach for 2020 / 2021 Kat Smith.

Kat is passionate educator on and off the field with vast experience across the football system. She is a strong believer that participation in sport at all levels is a learning tool with a potential to develop the necessary skills required to navigate life’s challenges and enhance the steps taken in search of personal and professional success.

Kat has embarked on a journey of formal and informal education, and sourced professional and personal education opportunities and welcomed many discovery experiences to not only develop her own knowledge but to also share it with the football community. She is currently undergoing her Pro Licence in Canberra.

Kat Smith’s football pedigree speaks for itself: She is currently an Assistant Coach / Performance analyst for Junior Matilda’s National team and Opposition Analysts for Matilda’s Team. Until recently she was the Assistant coach to Jeff Hopkins for @victorywleague in the Westfield W League. And the list goes on!!

The executive board at ALAMEIN FC would like to welcome Kat Smith to the club and we look forward to her hitting the ground running and building on what our exiting Head Coach Sinisa has achieve in the last 4 years at Alamein.

Introducing Graham Dudley - Technical Director

Alamein FC is excited to announce it’s Technical Director for 2020, Graham Dudley.
With over two decades of experience in football, most of which have been committed to the female game in both England and Australia, Graham has been involved from the inception of the NPLW with previous roles as Head Coach and Technical Director at Bayside United.
He has also held additional formal roles as Director of Football at larger community clubs, universities and schools within Victoria. His broad experience will add an empathetic approach and support to the club, our players and our wider members too.

The board of Directors are pleased to have Graham join Alamein FC as the 2020 Technical Director. Graham’s role will be to deliver the Club’s philosophy around the wider curriculum and a holistic development of "football personality", a way for players to express themselves within the team, club and community as great people and great players.

When speaking at the Clubs Presentation last night Graham had the following to say.

"I am extremely happy to be joining Alamein and working to reinforce what is a great foundation created by the club’s previous Technical Director Mark Cassar and Head Coach Sinisa Cohadzic and am genuinely excited to work alongside incoming Senior Head coach Kat Smith”.
Graham will play a part in offering support and guidance in line with off the field aspects of players, resources and the science of the sport as well.

Graham’s first job will be to fill all coaching vacancies at the club and to commence working on the strategy for the 2020 NPLW season.

Welcome Nader Shukri - U14s Head Coach

Nader Shukri cropped 1Alamein FC is proud to announce the signing of its new U14 Head Coach Nader Shukri. A passionate and dedicated professional sportsman, with a background in playing professional football at the highest level Nader has been fortunate to have trained in a number of countries across the world. Nader has also played professionally in the Qatar, Jordanian, Egyptian and Spanish Football Leagues. While playing the world game his passion has always been coaching and developing Junior footballers.

For 5 years he coached with the Right to Play Academy while being supported by UNICEF helping under privileged kids age 5 to 16 with coaching and supplying equipment to them to further their soccer skills and knowledge in Asia, Africa and Europe.

He is currently also Coaching with Football Star Academy and Coach Approach were he has been since 2012. He is a passionate and dedicated individual that sets the standard high for his players.

We wish Nader a successful time at Alamien in 2019 and will follow his progress closely.

Regrettably current coach Eugene had to step aside due to health reasons which the club has been very supportive with. He will continue at the club in an Assistant Coach capacity.
